Job OverviewWe are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team.The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions efficiently, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.This role requires strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and familiarity with POS systems.Bilingual abilities are a plus to assist a diverse customer base.The Cashier will also support merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations as needed to enhance store presentation and sales.Responsibilities Operate POS systems accurately to process customer transactions, including cash handling and credit card payments Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience Assist with product demos and upselling to promote store merchandise and increase sales Maintain knowledge of store products, promotions, and policies to answer customer inquiries effectively Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times Support merchandising efforts by organizing displays and restocking shelves as needed Manage phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone or online inquiries Supervise or assist with other store duties such as stocking shelves or organizing merchandise when necessary Uphold store policies regarding safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards Qualifications Previous cashiering experience in retail or grocery store environments preferred Familiarity with POS systems and retail math calculations Strong communication skills, including clear phone etiquette and customer interaction skills Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales transactions Experience with upselling, product demos, merchandising, and stock management is a plus Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele Supervising experience is beneficial but not required; leadership qualities are valued Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:From $15.50 per hour Benefits:401(k) Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Vision insurance Work Location:In person.
