Job Description
Cashier The Cashier provides friendly, efficient service by accurately processing food, beverage, and retail transactions while assisting guests with menu information and general inquiries. This role supports smooth pool operations by maintaining an organized workstation, restocking supplies, and following all POS and cash-handling procedures. The Pool Cashier consistently delivers professional, courteous service and upholds the resort's high standards for guest experience. Adheres to all Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures. Fosters teamwork and provides excellent guest service, anticipates guest needs to exceed guest expectations. Builds brand loyalty by living the JW Marriott Core Values. Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: Monitor and control access to the pool area, ensuring only authorized guests are permitted entry. Open and close the towel hut in accordance with established policies and procedures. Assist guests with cabana inquiries, bookings, and sales, providing accurate information and courteous service. Stock, clean, and maintain all pool, recreation, and cabana areas while delivering exceptional guest service. Support guest purchases by offering knowledgeable guidance on product selections and pricing. Operate the cash register accurately and efficiently, handling all transaction phases with care. Fold, stock, and replenish pool towels throughout the shift as needed. Assist in training new team members by demonstrating proper procedures and service standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of cabanas and support cabana hosts and servers as needed. Fulfill all reasonable management requests in support of smooth and efficient pool operations. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases too loud. Additionally, smoking is permitted in casino areas consistent with Nevada state regulations, which are followed by the employer.
