Job SummaryJoin our team as a Cashier, where your energy and enthusiasm will create a welcoming experience for every customer.Your role is essential in ensuring smooth operations at the counter while fostering a family-oriented environment that encourages repeat visits and customer loyalty.Our customers are from all different backgrounds and can be feisty so having a thick skin is a requirement for the position.Duties Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges Greeting customers, being friendly and professional Handle cash, EBT and credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision Upsell products by suggesting additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented and aren't expired Assist with inventory management through stocking and merchandising tasks, including inventory counts and product placement Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience Support team members through supervising experience when needed, helping to train new staff or oversee daily operations Experience Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment preferred but not required Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math to handle transactions accurately Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse customer needs Experience in grocery stores or retail sales is advantageous Demonstrated ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail Join us and be part of our team.Pay:From $17.00 per hour Benefits:Flexible schedule People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location:In person.
