We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team.This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting customers with their shopping experience.The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for retail sales and customer satisfaction.Previous experience in grocery stores or retail environments is preferred, but not required.Responsibilities:Operate POS systems efficiently and effectively to process transactions accurately and quickly Prompt to greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries and selections Handle cash and transactions with precision and integrity Upsell products and promote special offers to enhance sales opportunities and create return customers Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits Maintain high and clean merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented as instructed Assist with inventory management, including stock replenishment and inventory counts Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive shopping experience Support supervising staff as needed in overseeing daily store operations as requested Maintain a clean, organized checkout area, show floor, backroom, and bathrooms as instructed Adhere to store policies and basic human decency on safety and hygiene Skills Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening Bilingual abilities are preferred to assist diverse customer needs Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous Ability to perform retail math accurately for transactions and inventory management Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product placement strategies Demonstrated ability in upselling techniques to increase sales revenue Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor Basic math skills for handling cash registers and calculating totals or discounts Experience in grocery store or retail sales environments is desirable This role offers an engaging work environment where your enthusiasm for retail can shine.We value proactive team players committed to delivering outstanding service while supporting store operations effectively.We hope to meet you soon!
