OverviewJoin our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, where your enthusiasm and dedication will create a welcoming shopping experience for every customer.In this role, you will be the friendly face that assists customers at checkout, provides product information, and ensures smooth store operations.Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help foster customer loyalty and drive sales growth.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your retail skills in a fast-paced environment while making a real difference in customers' daily lives.Responsibilities Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and swiftly.Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product selections.Conduct product demos when applicable to highlight features and benefits, encouraging upselling opportunities.Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cash, credit, and mobile payments.Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are well-presented.Assist with inventory management through stock replenishment and inventory counts to keep the store organized.Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely.Support the store team with supervising experience by mentoring new staff or helping coordinate daily tasks as needed.Engage in basic retail math to ensure accurate pricing, discounts, and transaction totals.Requirements Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key! Strong communication skills to interact confidently with diverse customers and team members.Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve our diverse community effectively.Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math concepts is advantageous.Ability to stand for extended periods, perform light physical tasks such as stocking shelves, and handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.Experience in grocery stores or similar retail environments is beneficial for understanding store operations.Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive shopping experiences.Join us in delivering outstanding service while developing your retail expertise!
