Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team.This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers.The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to handle transactions efficiently in a market environment.We are a hot food vendor at the College Of San Mateo farmers market.Looking for someone that can be reliable and trustworthy to help me grow this business.We are growing quickly and looking for strong teammates to continue this growth.Paying $25 for 4 hour shift 9am-1pm, with possibility of more for set up/ clean up.Duties Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries.Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process transactions.Sell food products effectively while engaging with customers and managing orders.Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, utilizing basic math skills for accurate change calculations.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays.Address customer concerns promptly and professionally, demonstrating excellent customer service skills.Qualifications Must be personable and polite to provide excellent customer service.Previous experience in food service environments is preferred but not required.Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with customers.Proficiency in basic math and retail math to ensure accurate transaction processing.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.A positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to providing outstanding customer service are crucial for success in this role.Must be able to reliably get to the market for the shift.Join our team as a Customer Service Associate / Cashier and contribute to creating an enjoyable shopping experience for our valued customers!
