OverviewJoin our dynamic retail team as a Cashier and Customer Service Associate, where your enthusiasm and communication skills will create a welcoming environment for every shopper.In this role, you'll be the friendly face that enhances the shopping experience by handling transactions efficiently, assisting customers with their needs, and promoting our products with confidence.Your energy and attention to detail will help ensure smooth store operations while fostering positive relationships with customers and team members alike.Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges swiftly.Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations.Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing registers at shift end.Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining store cleanliness to enhance product visibility.Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate customers about new or featured items, encouraging upselling opportunities.Maintain professional phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone.Support inventory management by participating in stock counts and ensuring products are well-presented and accessible.Experience Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar retail environments.Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to oversee daily store operations.Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve a diverse customer base effectively.Strong communication skills are essential for engaging customers and collaborating with team members.Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising techniques, and basic retail math will help you succeed in this role.Experience in providing excellent customer service in fast-paced environments will set you apart.Knowledge of phone etiquette and upselling strategies will enhance your ability to connect with shoppers and boost sales.This is an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals eager to make a positive impact in a vibrant retail setting!
