Job SummaryWe are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier/Customer Service Associate to join our retail team.The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and assist with merchandising and stocking.This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency with POS systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced grocery store environment.Bilingual skills are a plus to serve our diverse customer base.Responsibilities Operate POS systems accurately to process sales and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions Provide excellent customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries and checkout procedures Upsell products and promote ongoing promotions or product demos to enhance sales Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are well-stocked Assist with stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean store environment Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or follow-up calls Supervise or assist with product demos to engage customers and promote sales Ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times during transactions Requirements Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred Familiarity with POS systems and basic retail math for cash handling and transactions Strong communication skills, including clear verbal interaction and active listening Ability to perform upselling techniques and product recommendations effectively Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve a diverse clientele Experience with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management is a plus Previous supervising experience is advantageous but not required Basic math skills for balancing registers and handling cash accurately Knowledge of grocery store operations is beneficial but not mandatory Job Types:Full-time, Part-time Pay:$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours:40 per week Work Location:In person.
