Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions and assisting with product inquiries. Your ability to communicate effectively and create a welcoming environment will be key to enhancing the customer experience in our grocery store. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, ensuring accurate cash handling. Process customer purchases, returns, and exchanges while maintaining a positive attitude. Upsell products by demonstrating knowledge of promotions and new items. Maintain an organized and appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising techniques. Assist in stocking shelves and ensuring product availability for customers. Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement. Handle customer inquiries via phone with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette. Supervise junior staff as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment. Qualifications Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances our service capabilities.
