Job Summary The Cashier is responsible for providing friendly, efficient customer service while accurately processing customer orders and payments. This role serves as the primary point of contact for guests, ensuring a positive dining experience from order placement to completion. The Cashier must maintain accuracy, speed, and professionalism in a fast-paced quick service restaurant environment. Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently. Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions. Resolve basic customer concerns or escalate issues to a supervisor when needed. Order Processing Enter orders correctly into the POS system. Confirm orders with customers to ensure accuracy. Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly. Package and deliver orders for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. Cash Handling Process payments including cash, credit cards, and digital payments. Provide accurate change to customers. Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift. Follow all company cash handling procedures Food Handling & Presentation Assist with preparing beverages and simple menu items when required. Ensure orders are packaged neatly and accurately. Maintain cleanliness of service areas. Cleanliness & Organization Keep the front counter and dining areas clean and organized. Restock napkins, utensils, condiments, and supplies. Follow health and safety guidelines. Team Support Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and team members. Assist coworkers during busy periods. Support smooth restaurant operations during peak hours. Qualifications Previous cashier or customer service experience preferred but not required. Basic math and cash handling skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and professional. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs when needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
