Job SummaryJoin our dynamic retail team as a Cashier, where your enthusiasm and customer-focused approach will create a welcoming shopping experience for every guest.As a key frontline team member, you will handle transactions efficiently, provide exceptional service, and support store operations to ensure a smooth and enjoyable shopping environment.Your energy and attention to detail will help drive sales, foster customer loyalty, and uphold our commitment to excellence.Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges with speed and precision Provide friendly, professional customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods securely while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures Upsell products and promote store promotions or special offers to enhance the customer experience and increase sales Assist with merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are presented attractively Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about features and benefits of merchandise Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or team members over the phone Requirements Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers in bilingual settings if applicable Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure transaction accuracy Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor Supervising experience is a plus for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours including weekends or evenings Join us in creating memorable shopping experiences!
