Morton Williams Supermarkets is hiring for all positions in Manhattan & the Bronx.Apply in person on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at supermarket main office at 15 E.Kingsbridge Rd.(near Jerome Ave.), Bronx.Apply 10am-1pm.Bring all identification to interview.Full-time & part time.We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment.This role is essential for ensuring excellent customer service while efficiently managing transactions and maintaining product displays.The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for providing a positive shopping experience.Duties Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently.Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience.Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and balancing the register at the end of shifts.Stock shelves, ensuring products are organized, well-displayed, and replenished as needed.Conduct product demonstrations to engage customers and promote new items.Assist in merchandising efforts to create attractive displays that encourage sales.Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels effectively.Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and stocking procedures.Skills Proficient in cashiering and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing.Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.Experience in retail sales, with an understanding of upselling techniques to enhance customer purchases.Knowledge of stocking procedures and merchandising principles within a grocery store setting.Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with diverse customers.Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries over the phone.Join our team as a Cashier/Stocker and contribute to creating a welcoming environment for our customers while developing your skills in retail operations!
