Caster Operator

Purpose Controls the operation of casting steel into solid bars, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures, complying with defined quality standards.Main Responsibilities - Defines and controls steel mixture according to steel quality requirements. Programs and controls process time. Controls tundish pre heating. Changes and controls consumables ensuring their availability. Manages technologic rejections. Coordinates operative functions in CC. Assists repairs of the secondary cooling such as nozzle and segments replacement. Carries out cutting and punching control. Carries out steel cleanness on punctures. Coordinates and changes segments. Updates information in the tracking systems.
