Company Description The Ameswell Hotel is an independent modern luxury hotel located in Mountain View, California, in the heart of Silicon Valley. Inspired by the nearby NASA Ames Research Center, the hotel reflects innovation, art, design, and technology. It features 255 luxurious guest rooms, a 4,400-square-foot ballroom, two boardrooms, diverse dining options including an indoor/outdoor restaurant and a fast casual café, as well as a heated outdoor pool, fitness center, and event lawn. Surrounded by California’s natural beauty, the property offers an exceptional experience with access to running, biking, and hiking trails. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Catering Sales Manager located in Mountain View, CA. The Catering Sales Manager will oversee the planning and coordination of catering events, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and seamless execution. Responsibilities include managing client relationships, developing catering sales strategies, overseeing menu selections, and collaborating with the Food & Beverage team to provide excellent customer service. Additionally, the role involves managing event logistics and assisting with on-site supervision during events to ensure success. Qualifications Proactively solicit, sell, and contract corporate catering only events, social catering, wedding events, including but not limited to: Weddings, rehearsal dinners, farewell brunches, Birthdays, anniversaries, celebrations of life, Cultural celebrations, holiday parties, fundraisers, Private social, Corporate events, luncheons, celebrations, meetings etc Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals for: Catering food & beverage, Event space rental, packages and add-ons. Manage the full sales cycle: Lead response and qualification, Site tours and Client Presentations, Proposal Development, Contract Negotiation and execution Upsell menus, bar packages, décor, enhancement, and add-on experiences to maximize total event value Serve as the primary Wedding Expert and brand ambassador for The Ameswell hotel Develop, maintain, and update: wedding packages, wedding menus (in collaboration with Culinary and Operations), preferred vendor lists (planners, florists, DJs, photographers, rentals etc) Conduct personalized wedding consultations and property tours. Experience and skills in Catering Sales and Event Planning Strong background in providing outstanding Customer Service and ensuring Customer Satisfaction Knowledge and experience in food and beverage operations Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills Ability to coordinate multiple events simultaneously with attention to detail Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred Experience with hotel or hospitality management systems is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
