CBS Childrens Support Aide

Position Summary:This position is responsible for assisting severely emotionally disturbed children in successfully achieving their treatment plan goals by providing one-on-one support within a community or school setting.Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities Work with assigned children individually and/or in group settings to develop skills identified by their treatment plan Develop weekly group lesson plans based on social emotional learning and evidence based practices Facilitate and/or assist with leading planned groups Support assigned children in daily living skills as needed and appropriate to their treatment plan Support assigned children in school and/or community activities as needed and appropriate to their treatment plan Accurately and timely complete all required documentation and communicate information to assigned treatment team regarding progress towards established goals Provide Respite Care, Attendant Care, Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Independent Living/Skills Building as defined by Medicaid and as qualified Facilitate travel/transportation to conduct client visits in home or in the community as outlined in the treatment plan and within the context of the provided service Participate in agency meetings, training and ongoing professional development as required Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Background void of issues related to abuse or neglect Valid Kansas driver's license with favorable record Complete AC, PRI, ILS and Respite Training within 30 days of start date Previous experience and/or education in human services, education, early childhood, or related field Working knowledge of social service resources.
