About The Role The Regional CDL A Driver is responsible for transporting hazardous and non‑hazardous bulk materials between Reworld facilities, refinery locations, and customer sites. This role includes regional over‑the‑road work for approximately two weeks at a time, with local runs assigned when regional work is not available. Drivers must operate safely, maintain compliance with all DOT and company standards, and represent Reworld professionally at all customer locations. Primary Responsibilities Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following all company policies, procedures, and safe‑work practices. Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations, company standards, and customer site requirements. Haul sludge, liquid bulk, and dry bulk hazardous materials primarily from refineries. Receive materials and transport them to designated facilities, including Tulsa, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, and other southern Midwest/eastern regions. Review all shipping documentation for accuracy and confirm load acceptance, rejections, and material weights. Perform required inspections of tractor, trailer, and cargo before, during, and after each trip. Follow routing plans, manage time efficiently, and maximize working hours while remaining compliant with DOT hours‑of‑service requirements. Safely follow spotter directions, backing protocols, and site‑specific safety procedures. Report all incidents impacting transportation, including equipment issues, safety concerns, or accidents. Maintain E‑Logs and operate electronic devices and on‑board equipment as required. Keep assigned equipment clean, fueled, and in good working condition. Learn, operate, and maintain specialized equipment including tankers, walking‑floor trailers, and flatbeds. Provide support at customer sites and during special loading/unloading operations. Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatch, customers, regulators, and internal staff. Perform additional duties as assigned to support operations. Required Qualifications Valid CDL Class A licence. Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, including tanker experience. Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required. TWIC card required. Clean and acceptable driving record with no careless/reckless driving charges within the last five years. No convictions involving impaired operation, controlled‑substance transport, or felony offenses involving a CMV within the past five years. Must be able to pass refinery‑level drug screens, background checks, and meet all DOT qualification requirements. Ability to interpret maps and follow written and verbal directions. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED preferred. Experience operating tankers, walking‑floor trailers, or flatbeds. Strong background in liquid bulk or refinery‑related hauling Schedule & Work Structure Regional position requiring 2 weeks over the road at a time. Assigned sleeper cab (Peterbilt) for regional work. Local runs available when regional routes are not scheduled. Reporting location: Sumter STC facility. Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, stoop, crouch, grasp, and reach throughout the workday. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. Able to perform all functions required of a CDL A driver, including securing loads, connecting hoses, and climbing trailers.
