Overview Join our dynamic team as a CDL-A Local Driver, working Sunday through Thursday to deliver essential freight efficiently and safely within your local area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be home every night while maintaining a lively, fast-paced driving schedule. As a key player in our logistics operation, you'll operate various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional service. Your expertise in commercial driving will help keep operations running smoothly and customers satisfied. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and delivery receipts throughout each shift Follow planned routes efficiently while adapting to traffic conditions and delivery schedules to meet deadlines Assist with securing loads on trailers to prevent shifting during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Qualifications Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record and at least five years of commercial driving experience Proven experience operating tractor-trailers Knowledge of safety procedures related to truck driving, load securement, and DOT regulations Familiarity with route driving within local areas and the ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, documentation accuracy, and freight handling Physical ability to perform the demands of truck driving including lifting heavy loads when necessary Embark on a rewarding career that combines professional growth with the comfort of being home nightly.
