Responsibilities Operate tractor-trailers safely and efficiently while maintaining compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Transport freight across local, regional, and OTR routes depending on driver preference and operational needs. Haul various types of freight including dry van, reefer, power only, and specialized loads when applicable. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and operational readiness. Maintain communication with dispatch regarding load status, delays, route updates, and operational issues. Ensure timely pickup and delivery of freight while maintaining professionalism with shippers and receivers. Accurately maintain logs, trip records, and required transportation documentation. Manage route schedules effectively to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance and attitude while representing Northline Solutions. Freight Opportunities Drivers may have access to: Amazon Relay freight General OTR and regional freight Dedicated lanes Priority emergency and disaster relief freight during active operations Drivers who demonstrate strong communication, reliability, professionalism, and consistent performance may become eligible for priority freight opportunities connected through our established government contracting partner during active operations and deployments. Requirements Valid CDL Class A License Minimum 2+ years of CDL-A driving experience preferred Must own or have access to a tractor Possession of a trailer is strongly preferred (Dry Van, Flatbed, Step Deck, Reefer, Power Only, or Heavy Haul equipment) Experience hauling dry van, flatbed, reefer, heavy haul, or specialized freight is preferred Must be able to pass a drug screening and comply with all DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) preferred No major preventable accidents or serious safety violations within the past 3–5 years No reckless driving, DUI, or major moving violations Strong understanding of DOT safety regulations and FMCSA compliance standards Ability to communicate professionally and consistently with dispatch Must be dependable, motivated, and prepared to run consistently Ability to stay out on the road for extended periods is a plus Must maintain professionalism, strong time management skills, and a safety-first mindset TWIC card, tanker endorsement, or additional certifications are a plus but not required What We Offer Competitive 80/20 split in favor of the driver Consistent freight opportunities Transparent dispatch communication Dispatch focused on maximizing truck productivity and minimizing downtime Weekly settlements with transparent load confirmations Professional support from an experienced dispatch team Long-term growth opportunities within a structured logistics operation Opportunity to qualify for priority government-related freight operations based on performance and reliability Why Drive With Northline Solutions At Northline Solutions, we believe drivers are partners — not just truck numbers.
