Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial trucks, including manual transmission vehicles, across designated routes. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo safety and security. Drive various types of trailers, including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and freight carriers. Manage route driving efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle condition and report any maintenance needs promptly. Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and compliance records throughout each shift. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues proactively. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a strong understanding of route planning and delivery schedules. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles safely and efficiently. Familiarity with handling different trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to load & unload freight using forklifts or other lifting equipment while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety protocols, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer satisfaction. Strong communication skills for effective coordination with team members and clients.
