Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated CDL Instructor to join our team and empower aspiring commercial drivers to achieve their goals. Responsibilities Deliver engaging classroom lessons on topics such as air brake systems, tanker operations, and commercial driving regulations Supervise and instruct students during behind-the-wheel training sessions on tractor-trailers and truck driving techniques Assess student progress through evaluations, providing constructive feedback to support improvement Ensure all training activities comply with federal, state, and company safety standards and regulations Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and certification progress Prepare students for licensing exams by reviewing key concepts and conducting practice tests Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, participation, and safety awareness Skills Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid CDL license, including tractor-trailer operation Strong knowledge of air brake systems, tanker operations, and other specialized vehicle features Prior teaching or adult education experience preferred; classroom experience is a plus Excellent communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to diverse learners Ability to demonstrate safe driving practices and enforce safety protocols consistently Familiarity with CDL licensing requirements and testing procedures Passion for mentoring others and helping students succeed in their professional journeys Job Type: Full-time Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour Benefits Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
