Our client, a data center critical infrastructure services organization, is seeking a Critical Environment Technician (CE Tech I / II) to join their team.As a Critical Environment Technician, you will be part of the Critical Environments / Facilities Operations department supporting Data Center Electrical Operations and Infrastructure Reliability teams.The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and collaborative problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.Job Title:Critical Environment Technician (CE Tech I / II) Location:Santa Clara, CA Type:Contract What's the Job? Operate, monitor, and maintain critical electrical infrastructure across a multi-facility data center campus to ensure continuous uptime.Perform RPP, PDU, and electrical system shutdowns while maintaining critical load in N or N+1 configurations.Support power meter replacements, Power Interruption Testing (PIT), and master controller shutdowns or replacements.Utilize Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS) to monitor system performance and respond to alarms.Follow all safety procedures, NEC standards, and site protocols while working in high-availability environments.What's Needed? OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E certification (required).5years of experience in technical fields such as electrical systems, controls, data centers, manufacturing, or critical infrastructure.Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and data center electrical systems.Experience working in high-availability environments (data centers, hospitals, manufacturing, oil & gas, or similar).Ability to work flexible schedules, including 12-hour shifts and rotating workweeks, with basic proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word What's in it for me?
