Central MDS Nurse

Avalon Health Care Management in Salt Lake City is seeking an experienced MDS nurse! Full-time or Part-time This position is in office Previous MDS experience required Avalon is looking for experienced MDS nurses to join their Central MDS team. The central MDS team works out of the corporate office in Salt Lake City and supports facilities throughout the company. Placement within the wage range for this position is determined by years of experience, qualifications, and demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions. Responsibilities The Resident Assessment Coordinator will be responsible for timely MDS completion, training, and participation in the IDT team as directed by the Chief Nursing Officer and the Clinical Reimbursement Specialist. This role is viewed as a key financial and clinical member of the management team. Qualifications Must have a current, active license to practice as an Registered Nurse (RN) in State of practice. Must be well-versed in inter-personal communications. Must be familiar with the RAI process and Case Management. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Must meet all local health regulation and pass post-employment physical exam if required. This requirement also includes drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry.
