Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide to provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients, assisting them with daily activities, and ensuring their overall well-being. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while following care plans. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences. Monitor and record vital signs, reporting any changes in health status to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations. Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times. Support memory care for clients with dementia or cognitive impairments through specialized techniques and activities. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to infection control protocols. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare team members regarding care plans and client progress. Qualifications Previous experience in caregiving or home community care is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical records systems is a plus. Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately. Experience in dementia care or memory care techniques is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards clients. Ability to follow instructions carefully while demonstrating initiative in providing care. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between client homes if required. Certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification is preferred but not mandatory.
