Description Yale Campus Recreation is seeking qualified lifeguards to support the aquatic operations at Payne Whitney Gymnasium.Lifeguards play an essential role in ensuring the safety of all participants, monitoring facility use, and responding to emergency situations as needed.Job Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety of all swimmers and patrons in the pool area Enforce all pool rules, regulations, and policies in a consistent and professional manner Respond effectively to emergencies, providing care in accordance with training and certification standards Conduct regular safety checks of the pool, deck, and equipment Maintain a clean and safe environment for all users Perform additional duties as assigned by the Aquatics Coordinator Qualifications Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification (or equivalent) Current CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification Current First Aid certification Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to remain alert, focused, and responsive in all situations Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and professionalism Priority will be given to candidates with a current Red Cross (or equivalent) lifeguard certificate.Job Type:Part-time Pay:$18.00 per hour Work Location:In person.
