ADDY'S COLORS COLLABORATIVE CARE CLINIC Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Full-Time "Medical Assistant – Primary Care & Behavioral Health" The CMA schedule will consist of four clinical days per week, with shifts of 7:00 AM–4:30 PM on (Gloucester) Tuesdays and Thursdays and 8:00 AM–4:30 PM on (NN) Mondays and Wednesdays, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch each day. Friday hours will be around 6 hours - flexible and based on clinic needs, including administrative tasks, patient follow-up, and preparation for the upcoming week. ABOUT THE ROLE We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our clinical support team. In this role, you'll work directly alongside our lead provider (FNP-C) to keep patient care moving smoothly — from rooming and triage through labs and care coordination. You'll be based primarily at our Gloucester location, with a transitional period supporting both sites.This is a great fit if you're organized, personable, comfortable in a fast-paced collaborative care environment, and excited to grow with a practice that's doing something different. WHAT YOU'LL DO Clinical (Mon–Thu): Pre chart Room patients, obtain vitals, document chief complaints and medication reconciliation Perform EKGs if needed Minimal cleaning and tidying of exam rooms Perform clinical triage and alert provider to urgent concerns Collect and process in-office labs; coordinate with Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp Administer injections, vaccines, and other ordered treatments per scope Prepare exam rooms, maintain clinical supplies and equipment Support provider during procedures as directed Assist with appointment requests and patient communication as needed Coordinate with mental health therapists and mental health care coordinators with the medication management patients. Administrative (Fridays) Process lab orders and follow up on outstanding results Assist with scheduling and appointment coordination Support prior authorization submissions via CoverMyMeds Restock clinical and office supplies; complete opening/closing procedures Ensure exam rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and inspection-ready Complete any outstanding clinical or administrative tasks from the week Provide coverage for PCC duties (referrals, scheduling, prior auths) during vacations or absences. Be willing to be cross trained for PCC duties, they will cover you during your absence. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Active CMA certification Experience rooming patients and performing clinical triage in a primary care or outpatient setting Phlebotomy experience strongly preferred; comfort with in-office lab collection required Familiarity with EHR documentation Comfortable with electronic lab ordering and results platforms Reliable transportation — must be able to commute to Newport News and Gloucester during transitional period Warm, professional communication style with patients of all ages Able to work independently and manage competing priorities without close supervision Experience in collaborative care, holistic functional medicine, behavioral health integration, or pediatric primary care a plus HOW TO APPLY Submit your resume and a brief note about why you're interested in collaborative care.
