Responsibilities Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Assist with specialized care needs including Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, hospice support, and behavioral health interventions Maintain aseptic technique during procedures such as catheter care or wound management to prevent infection Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in settings like ICU, emergency medicine, pediatrics, geriatrics, or post-acute care to deliver comprehensive patient service Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times and communicate effectively with patients and team members to promote a positive environment Requirements Valid certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) from an accredited program; active state license required Experience working in various healthcare environments such as hospitals (including Level I Trauma Centers), nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate medical documentation Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control practices including aseptic technique Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting patients using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; capable of standing and walking for extended periods Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of diverse backgrounds and collaborate within multidisciplinary teams Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and safeguarding patient confidentiality at all times Join us in delivering exceptional patient-centered care!
