We are willing to pay above market to get this person to be part of our family. We need 12-20 hours per week of care in our home for a bedridden but completely awake and alert patient. She is very self sufficient except for needing food prepared and brought to her We need an EXCELLENT cook, proficient in meal preparation, to deal with a patient with multiple changing food allergies and preferences due to a non-contagious chronic medical condition. Experience with (mostly) vegetarian diets required. You will essentially be our home manager, responsible for meal design and preparation, kitchen maintenance, grocery shopping and managing food supplies, and very light general housekeeping like laundry. You must have experience as a CNA, in order to pass the requirements of our long term care insurance company. This is similar to credentials needed to work in a nursing home. THERE IS NO PERSONAL OR CHILD CARE REQUIRED HOURS Come work for our family and be paid what you deserve. Hourly rate $30-50/hour (newly increased!!) based on experience. We currently need 12- 20 hours per week help. We are very flexible in creating a 4-5 day a week schedule to fit your needs . This might mean working before or after other commitments, working evenings or weekend days IF YOU CHOOSE , or anything else which meets both our needs. This includes variable scheduling week to week to accomodate your needs. Duties Meal Prep Kitchen/grocery management Laundry Using wheelchair to move patient around the home occasionally (No transfer assistance needed) Errands like UPS returns, pharmacy pickup, etc. (We reimburse your mileage if you use your own car) Qualifications CNA, with documented patient care training (classroom and minimum 16 hours clinical training) Valid driver’s license required Strong references required.
