OverviewWe are growing and we would like you to join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and medication safety.In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring accuracy and compliance in a fast-paced clinical environment.Your dedication to patient service and attention to detail will help us deliver exceptional pharmaceutical care across diverse healthcare settings, including LTC (Long-Term Care), hospital, and acute care facilities.This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to advance your pharmacy career while making a meaningful difference in patients' lives.Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including compounding sterile and non-sterile preparations.Manage medication intake processes, verifying prescriptions, and ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with medical terminology standards.Support patient service initiatives by providing medication information and answering inquiries related to pharmacy products and procedures.Prepare and dispense medications accurately, adhering to protocols and aseptic techniques for safe medication administration.Maintain meticulous inventory control of pharmaceuticals, including all pharmacy supplies, ensuring proper storage and expiration tracking.Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate medication reconciliation, intake assessments, and patient care coordination in acute care environments.Follow all safety protocols related to aseptic technique, medication handling, and infection control to uphold the highest standards of patient safety.Qualifications Valid certification as a Pharmacy Technician from an accredited program; current licensure or registration as required by state law.Proven pharmacy technician experience.Strong understanding of medical terminology, medication administration procedures, and aseptic techniques.Prior computer operating experience is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient service while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced situations.Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management practices related to pharmacy operations.Critical care experience is a plus, along with familiarity with medical terminology relevant to inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services.Embark on a rewarding career that combines technical expertise with compassionate patient care!
