Travel Pharmacy Technician – Hospital Experience Required | $32 Hourly | Atlanta, GA Location: Atlanta 30342 Hourly Pay: $32/hour Shift: Day Shift | 40 Hours/Week Contract: 13 Weeks Department: Pharmacy Travel Assignment Immediate Openings for Experienced Hospital Pharmacy Technicians We are actively hiring an experienced Travel Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract assignment in Atlanta, GA. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with strong hospital pharmacy experience, including IV preparation, hazardous drug handling, and chemotherapy compounding . Candidates must be detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced acute care hospital environment. Job Responsibilities Prepare and compound sterile IV medications Handle hazardous medications and chemotherapy preparations safely Assist pharmacists with medication preparation and dispensing Maintain compliance with USP guidelines and sterile compounding protocols Operate pharmacy automation systems and medication management software Maintain accurate medication inventory and documentation Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient safety standards Support pharmacy workflow in a hospital setting Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent hospital pharmacy experience Hands-on experience with: IV Preparation Hazardous Drug Handling Chemo Compounding Active Pharmacy Technician license National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT preferred) Strong understanding of sterile compounding and safety standards Excellent attention to detail and communication skills Preferred Experience Experience with: Pyxis Omnicell EPIC Cerner Previous travel assignment experience preferred Knowledge of pharmacy workflow and inventory systems Important Travel Requirement This is a travel position. Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility location to qualify for travel pay and stipend eligibility.
