Job Description
Locum Tenens CRNA Wyoming Hospital-Based Anesthesia Coverage Wyoming (MHCC Primary Location) We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide locum tenens coverage in Wyoming to help fill a long-term coverage gap. This is a flexible, ongoing opportunity with consistent monthly needs through 2026 and potentially into 2027 . Coverage Details Coverage Need: Ideally 2 weeks per month Will also consider candidates available 1 week per month (Monday Friday) Schedule Flexibility: Exact dates are flexible and coordinated with the provider Start Date: As soon as credentialed (can start as early as mid-May ) End Date: Ongoing through 2026 (with potential extension into 2027) Schedule & Hours Regular Schedule: Monday Friday Typically 7:00 AM 1:00 PM , depending on workload Guaranteed Hours: 32 hours per week Overtime: None Unpaid Lunch: None Compensation MHCC Location Rate: $215 /hour Coverage Type: Inpatient / Outpatient Surgery / L&D Facility & Coverage Model Primary Location: MHCC (coverage needed here at this time) Secondary facility (SMC) is 45 miles away, not currently required Practice Setting: Hospital Average Patients Per Day: 7 10 Anesthesia Team: Typically 3 4 anesthesia providers per day (CRNAs and/or MDA/DOA) Call Coverage MHCC Elective surgeries Monday Thursday (6:30 AM 4:00 PM) Potential weekday and weekend ED call Occasional Friday cases Only 3% of surgeries and deliveries occur Friday Sunday SMC Site (Future Note) Monday Friday, 6:30 AM 4:00 PM No call currently ED opening after July 1, 2026 , which may change coverage needs in the future Practice Model APPs are Licensed Independent Practitioners (LIPs) in Wyoming CRNAs practice independently No anesthesiologist on-site at all times Rare solo coverage when on call Case Mix & Procedures Required anesthesia types General anesthesia Local anesthesia Regional anesthesia (blocks & epidurals) Surgical Services Orthopedics (complete) Spine (non-cranial) Neurology OB Pediatrics (primarily L&D and ENT) Regional anesthesia Cardiac Complex vascular Thoracic Pediatrics Notes No surgical patients under 3 years old , except L&D Light pediatric exposure overall Trauma coverage required Candidate Requirements CRNA certification required ACLS & PALS required IMLC compact license accepted No DEA required Vaccines: Not required (no flu or COVID mandate) Comfortable practicing independently Able to manage call responsibilities confidently Why This Opportunity?
