Physicians provide a comprehensive range of primary and specialty care services at the 333-bed hospital and outpatient facilities both on and off of the Eskenazi Health downtown campus as well as at 10 Eskenazi Health Center sites located throughout Indianapolis. FLSA Status Nonexempt Job Role Summary The CST Clinical Educator designs, delivers and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and use of information technologies applicable to the operating room and sterile processing departments. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Participates in the development, coordination, and delivery of new staff orientation, as well as orientation for experienced CST and CRCST hires in the operating room and sterile processing department. Designs, delivers, and assesses learning activities and curriculums related to clinical competencies, departmental policies, regulatory requirements, and use of information technologies. Acts as a clinical resource for perioperative and instrument reprocessing CSTs and CRCSTs, using evidence-based knowledge and standards. Coordinates the design, planning, execution and evaluation of OR and SPD staff training to maintain consistent practices and standards set by regulatory and professional organizations including AST, AORN, AAMI, JCAHO, FDA, CDC, and OSHA.
