Job Summary Join our veterinary team at Brockton Animal Hospital as a Certified Veterinary Technician, where your expertise will directly enhance the health and well-being of pets.In this vital role, you will provide compassionate patient care, assist with diagnostic procedures, and support veterinarians in delivering top-tier veterinary services.Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth workflow and exceptional pet care experience for our clients and their beloved animals.You can look forward to a long and rewarding career in a full-service veterinary practice that has served the Greater Brockton community for over 60 years.Responsibilities Perform animal restraint and handling to ensure safety for pets, clients, and staff during examinations and procedures Assist veterinarians with dental procedures, including understanding dental terminology and performing dental cleanings or treatments Conduct laboratory tests, prepare samples, and interpret basic results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Support animal husbandry activities such as feeding, cleaning, grooming, and maintaining a clean environment for all animals Utilize aseptic techniques during surgeries or invasive procedures to prevent infections Take radiographs ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols are followed Handle animal catheterization, IV placement, and other critical care procedures with precision and care Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files with treatment notes, medication administration, and laboratory results.Demonstrate proficiency in veterinary terminology and animal physiology to communicate effectively within the team.Experience Previous kennel experience or hands-on animal handling skills in a veterinary setting preferred Veterinary technician experience with a solid understanding of veterinary critical care practices Laboratory experience including sample collection and analysis highly desirable Knowledge of animal anatomy and restraint techniques essential.Dog handling skills combined with pet care expertise to manage diverse species confidently.Experience working with X-ray equipment and performing diagnostic imaging procedures is advantageous Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals while advancing your career in a lively, supportive environment.We are committed to fostering growth, providing ongoing learning opportunities, and ensuring every team member feels valued as an integral part of our mission to deliver exceptional pet healthcare.Job Type:Full-time Pay:$22.00 - $30.34 per hour Benefits:401(k) 401(k) matching Continuing education credits Dental insurance Employee discount Health insurance Paid time off Uniform allowance Work Location:In person.
