Company OverviewSpecial Testing & Consulting, LLC specializes in comprehensive inspection and testing services across various industries.Since 2006, we have been dedicated to delivering high-quality, certified inspection solutions through our fully equipped in-house laboratory and team of experienced professionals.OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Certified Welding Inspector / ICC Welding Inspector to join our dynamic team.You will be performing inspections on new construction renovation, alteration and enlargements projects throughout the NYC metro area.Your expertise will help maintain the integrity of critical structures and products, supporting our commitment to excellence in testing and inspection services.Additional certifications a plus! Additional openings available Inspectors with ICC Certifications in all disciplines including NDT UT MT Masonry Rebar Steel Reinforcement.Join our highly regarded Engineering and Materials Testing Company.We are well respected Engineer firm with many high-profile projects throughout the NY Metro Area.Duties Observe work for conformance with plans and specifications of drawings and building codes.Complete daily field inspection reports and identify/report discrepancies.Provide quality-assurance support to the assigned projects to ensure product meets customer quality requirements.Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) methods to verify weld quality and compliance with industry standards Collect data during inspections, document findings accurately, and prepare detailed reports for clients and internal review Requirements Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification Candidate Must Have Current CWI or ICC Welding 2-5 Years inspection/construction experience Excellent written and verbal communication Experience in accurately performing and reporting field inspections in timely manner Ability to read, interpret and apply engineering drawings and specifications Able to travel throughout the 5 boroughs of NYC to job sites Self-disciplined and highly motivated Not required, but a plus for bachelor's Civil Engineering or related education Benefits 401k Retirement with Company Match Paid vacation and sick time Paid Holidays Medical, Vision, Dental, Life and more!
