Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences for a Mexican Restaurant Concept. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, kitchen management, and team leadership within a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, menu planning, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained. The Chef will play a vital role in creating innovative dishes and maintaining a cohesive, efficient kitchen team committed to excellence. Experience in Mexican Cuisine is a major plus. Responsibilities Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, sous chefs, and other culinary personnel Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and minimizing waste Develop and update menus that align with restaurant branding and customer preferences Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and sanitation standards Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions as needed Monitor shift management to ensure smooth operations during service hours Train new staff members in food handling, safety procedures, and culinary techniques Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and staffing needs Maintain a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and professional growth Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining and catering environments Proven leadership skills with experience supervising kitchen teams Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices Expertise in menu planning, food production, and inventory management Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure Experience in restaurant management or hospitality settings is preferred Ability to oversee food service operations from preparation to presentation Knowledge of dietary requirements and experience working within dietary departments is advantageous Strong communication skills to effectively lead staff and coordinate with other departments Familiarity with kitchen management software and inventory control systems This position offers an exciting opportunity for a dedicated culinary professional eager to contribute their expertise to a dynamic team committed to excellence in hospitality.
