NewAldaya Lifescapes is seeking a full-time Chef/Events Coordinator. Successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations of the Main Street and catering, located in an upscale 14,000 sq. ft. lifestyle center that is open to staff, residents and the public. This position will manage and market all venues, coordinate and cater events, develop menus, oversee food and beverage orders and inventory, plus schedule/train/supervise staff/volunteers, and manage budget. Must have restaurant management experience, including bartending, catering, safe food handling, point of sale, employee training, food prep, cooking and food presentation. Successful candidate will be able to work inter-departmentally, be creative, and assist with set up and tear down of events. Ideal candidate will be customer service oriented, have chef training/cooking expertise, working knowledge of Microsoft Office systems and excellent communication/PR skills. Flexible work schedule.
