Job Description
Overview SNF is a specialty chemical group whose products, water-soluble polymers, contribute to treating, recycling, preserving water, saving energy, and reducing carbon footprint. The duty of this position is to handle, charge, polymerize, and transfer raw materials and finished products. This position is responsible for the entire Manufacturing process, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and assisting the plant manager in routine and non-routine tasks. Responsibilities Properly maintain all vessels and equipment. Charge reactor, pre-mix, and mix tanks. Ensure correct samples are pulled and QC tests ran. Inspect work areas for safety and cleanliness. Unload raw material tankers as needed. Clean up and handle hazardous materials as directed. Comply with all safety standards and rules, as set by management including selecting and using the correct personal protective equipment. Use of proper waste disposal methods. Monitor and record scrubber readings. Correct any scrubber deviations. Monitor storm drains and docks. Maintain a clean work environment by completing routine and non-routine housekeeping. Maintain inventory awareness for initiators. Verify that all piping is marked and containers have HMIS labels on them and that they are legible. Notify plant management of any preventive or corrective action that needs addressing. Qualifications: EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent - Required. EXPERIENCE: 0-3 Years - Prior Manufacturing Experience Preferred. LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Understanding of chemical manufacturing and production. Strong communication (verbal & written), ability to motivate, prioritize, and organize in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to multi-task. Ability to address issues, follow up, and implement solutions as required.
