Job Description
M.J. Reider Associates (MJRA) is an environmental testing laboratory dedicated to preserving the planet for future generations by supporting those who safeguard the environment. We are hiring an Entry-Level Chemist (Analyst 1) to support our Inorganics department. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career scientists looking to build hands-on experience in environmental laboratory testing. What You’ll Do Perform analysis of drinking water, wastewater, and environmental samples Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Maintain compliance with TNI/NELAP and quality standards Enter and evaluate analytical data in Element LIMS Maintain quality control documentation and raw data records Keep laboratory workspace clean, organized, and inspection-ready Meet department throughput and quality goals Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Biology, Microbiology, or related science field (1 year of lab experience may substitute for degree) Strong attention to detail and time management skills Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office) Ability to work on-site in a fast-paced production laboratory Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Preferred: Educational or professional laboratory experience Environmental, wastewater, or drinking water testing experience Familiarity with ISO 17025, TNI, NELAP, PA DEP, or LIMS systems No prior professional experience required — structured onsite training provided. Schedule Tuesday through Friday Four (4) 10-hour shifts (3-day weekends!) Why Join MJRA?
