The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial information, leading the accounting team, and managing the department's budget. This role requires a strategic leader who can drive continuous improvement, manage change, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. The Chief Accounting Officer will also be a key partner to the CFO and the Executive Management Team, providing technical accounting expertise and overseeing the preparation of all required SEC filings. Applicants for the Chief Accounting Officer position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' of experience in accounting, with a preference for those who have worked in a large publicly traded bank. An active CPA license and a thorough knowledge of the bank regulatory environment are essential. The role demands a professional with a strong background in GAAP, financial systems, and internal controls, as well as excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. The Chief Accounting Officer will be expected to mentor and coach a team of experienced professionals, build strong relationships across the organization, and ensure that the accounting function is aligned with the company's long-term goals.
