Chief Capital Allocation Strategist The Chief Capital Allocation Strategist is a senior executive responsible for defining and guiding the organization’s capital allocation strategy, ensuring that financial resources are deployed across investments, businesses, and initiatives in a disciplined, risk-aware, and value-creating manner. Core Responsibilities Define and lead the company’s capital allocation framework across growth investments, portfolio priorities, and strategic initiatives Evaluate investment opportunities, capital deployment options, and portfolio rebalancing decisions Partner with Finance, Strategy, Investment, and Executive Leadership to align capital decisions with long-term objectives Monitor returns, risk, liquidity, and market conditions to guide allocation priorities Develop scenario planning, performance analysis, and governance processes to support capital decisions Recommend adjustments to improve capital efficiency, resilience, and value creation Build and lead a small, high-impact team focused on strategic capital allocation Typical Background Extensive leadership experience in capital allocation, portfolio strategy, investment management, corporate finance, or treasury Strong track record of making disciplined, high-quality capital decisions in complex environments Deep understanding of portfolio construction, risk management, and long-term value creation Experience working with senior stakeholders across multiple business units or asset classes Mature, steady leadership style with a strong strategic and analytical mindset preferred Key Metrics Return on capital deployed Capital efficiency Portfolio risk-adjusted performance Strategic alignment of investments Liquidity and balance-sheet discipline Long-term value creation
