The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the organization's strategic direction, fostering an inclusive culture, and ensuring long-term financial and operational sustainability. This role demands a leader with a deep commitment to advancing equity and inclusion, particularly in the context of dismantling systemic inequities. The President and CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors, senior leadership, staff, donors, and community partners to define and communicate a clear strategic vision, modernize fundraising approaches, and strengthen community partnerships. Key responsibilities include leading the development of a measurable organizational strategy, overseeing financial and operational functions, and leading with a participatory approach to change management. Candidates for this role should have at least 15 years' of executive leadership experience, with a proven track record in fundraising, and a strong background in operational management. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading organizations through change, engaging with diverse communities, and a demonstrated ability to build and sustain relationships across sectors. They must be adept at translating strategic goals into actionable plans, ensuring alignment between strategy and operations, and fostering a culture of transparency, learning, and accountability. The role requires a leader who is both internally grounded and externally credible, capable of balancing near-term operational realities with long-term vision, and who is motivated to help the organization clarify and strengthen its impact in service of the community.
