The successful candidate will be a seasoned nonprofit leader with a strong background in fundraising, financial management, and a deep commitment to community empowerment. Key responsibilities for the role include providing executive oversight of daily operations, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture, and developing and executing a clear, future-ready strategy aligned with the organization's mission and community needs. The CEO will also be responsible for strengthening organizational alignment, building a strong leadership team, and ensuring the effective implementation and compliance of all programs and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 5 years' senior leadership experience, with a proven track record of managing operations, programs, staff, and budgets at scale. They should be an exceptional communicator, a strategic and steady leader, and possess the ability to lead effectively during periods of transition and change. Experience with the National Urban League Movement is a plus. The role requires a leader who is deeply committed to equity, justice, and community empowerment, and who can serve as a visible ambassador for the organization, stewarding existing relationships and implementing expanded funding strategies to diversify revenue streams.
