The CFO will be a key figure in the planning, organization, and oversight of the department's substantial budget and fiscal operations, with a strong focus on advancing the department's mission to protect and promote the health and well-being of the community. This pivotal role involves managing major departmental initiatives, leading budget development, and fiscal oversight, as well as securing and administering grant funding to enhance community health programs. The successful candidate will be a proven public finance leader, a strategic planner, and a subject matter expert in government finance and health or human services. They must be adept at driving adaptive change, be effective communicators, and demonstrate a commitment to ethical and accountable leadership. The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company will have at least four years' of management experience in a large organization, with a background in program planning, budget management, and policy development. Experience in a health services organization or a large division of such an organization is highly desirable. The CFO will be expected to be a collaborative manager, a politically astute advisor, and a data-informed decision-maker. They should also be capable of building community trust and effectively advocating for the department's initiatives. A degree in a relevant field is required, with a master's degree being desirable.
