Position Overview: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for leading the financial strategy, accounting operations, and overall fiscal health of Old Town Baking Company. This role partners closely with executive leadership to support operational growth, profitability, and long-term business planning across multiple bakeries and distribution operations. The CFO oversees all accounting and finance functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, banking relationships, inventory and cost accounting, compliance, and financial process improvement. This individual will play a key role in supporting a fast-paced manufacturing and food production environment by delivering accurate financial insight, strengthening operational controls, and aligning financial performance with business objectives. Job Responsibilities Lead all accounting and finance operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end/year-end close activities. Develop and maintain accurate financial statements, operational reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support executive decision-making. Oversee manufacturing and operational finance functions, including inventory valuation, cost accounting, labor costing, margin analysis, and production-related reporting. Manage company cash flow, banking relationships, working capital, and financial risk to support operational stability and growth. Partner with operations leadership to analyze production performance, inventory management, labor utilization, and operational efficiencies across multiple facilities. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, audits, reporting obligations, and internal financial controls. Oversee ERP system utilization and maintain financial data accuracy related to inventory, production, and operation reporting. Lead, develop, and support the accounting and finance team while improving financial processes, workflows, and accountability. Provide financial analysis, recommendations, and strategic insight to support organizational planning, growth initiatives, and operational decision making. Collaborate cross-functionally with leadership teams to improve financial visibility, operational performance, and organizational effectiveness. Support special projects and other finance or operational initiatives as assigned. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required. Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred. Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting and 12 years of financial leadership experience is required. Experience withing industrial bakery, food production, manufacturing, or related operational environments is strongly preferred. Strong background in operational finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning required. Experience with ERP systems, inventory accounting, and cost accounting in a manufacturing environment required. Experience supporting multi-location operation and financial reporting preferred. Proven experience leading accounting teams and improving financial process required. Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of manufacturing accounting, inventory management, cost accounting, and operational finance principles. Advanced financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management skills. Strong understanding of financial reporting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance requirements. Ability to analyze operational and financial data to support business decisions and operational improvements. Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead teams in a fast-paced environment. Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational support.
