The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, student-centered, and evidence-based healthcare that aligns with the academic mission and promotes a culture of excellence and collaboration. This role involves serving as the senior medical executive, maintaining a limited clinical practice, and providing expert counsel on public health and campus-wide health policy. The AVP/CHO will also be a key campus leader, fostering collaboration across various departments, and will be expected to maintain a strong presence in the student and academic community. Applicants must have at least 10 years' of progressive leadership experience in university health, medical practice, or public health administration, and hold an MD or DO degree with a current primary care specialty certification. A Master's degree in public health, business administration, or healthcare administration is preferred. The role requires demonstrated expertise in public health preparedness, infectious disease management, and medical compliance, as well as strong fiscal and strategic management skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and leading clinical teams, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively to promote student health and well-being.
