DGI supports clients with financial structuring, investor engagement, and transaction execution for large-scale projects across maritime logistics, agriculture, manufacturing, infrastructure, renewable energy, and international trade. Position Overview We are seeking an accomplished Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead DGI’s global investment strategy, capital formation initiatives, and institutional relationship development. The CIO will work directly with the Chief Executive Officer and senior leadership to identify, evaluate, structure, and facilitate major financing and investment opportunities. This executive will cultivate high-level relationships with commercial banks, institutional investors, private equity firms, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and development finance institutions. This role is ideal for a senior investment professional with extensive experience in project finance, capital raising, and cross-border transactions. Key ResponsibilitiesInvestment Strategy Develop and lead DGI’s global capital sourcing and investment strategy. Identify priority sectors, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships. Establish long-term institutional relationships. Capital Formation Facilitate debt and equity financing for projects ranging from USD 50 Million to USD 500 Million and above. Engage banks, investment funds, and strategic investors. Support structuring of efficient and commercially viable capital solutions. Strategic Partnerships Build relationships with lenders, investors, and co-investment partners. Negotiate strategic alliances and joint venture opportunities. Expand DGI’s international funding ecosystem. Investment Evaluation Review project proposals, business plans, financial models, and feasibility studies. Assess transaction viability and recommend optimal funding structures. Transaction Leadership Oversee negotiations, due diligence, documentation, and closing. Coordinate internal and external advisors. Ensure transactions progress to successful funding and disbursement. Executive Advisory Advise the CEO on investment strategy, market opportunities, and capital allocation priorities. Contribute to corporate growth and expansion planning. Sector Focus Maritime Shipping and Logistics Agriculture and Agro-Industrial Development Food Processing and Livestock Manufacturing Infrastructure Development Renewable Energy International Trade and Supply Chain Candidate RequirementsExperience Minimum 15 years of experience in investment banking, project finance, private equity, corporate finance, or institutional fundraising. Proven leadership in transactions of USD 50 Million or more. Strong relationships with banks, institutional investors, and strategic capital providers. Leadership Capabilities Exceptional strategic, analytical, and negotiation skills. Executive presence and strong stakeholder management ability. Demonstrated success in leading complex international transactions. Education MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent advanced professional qualifications preferred. Availability Ability to work in a hybrid executive role. Willingness to travel internationally as required.
