Job Title: Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Company: Neurovista Consulting Workplace Type: Remote Location: United States Employment Type: Contract Seniority Level: Executive Job Description We are seeking an experienced Chief Medical Officer with 15+ years of experience in medicine, clinical development, pharmaceutical strategy, biotechnology, or healthcare leadership. The Chief Medical Officer will provide senior medical leadership and strategic guidance for our healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology-related projects. This role is ideal for a senior physician or medical executive who can advise on clinical strategy, medical direction, regulatory considerations, product development, and healthcare business planning. Key Responsibilities Provide executive-level medical and clinical leadership for company projects Advise on clinical development strategy, medical feasibility and healthcare market opportunities Support pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or medical technology project planning Evaluate medical risks clinical requirements and regulatory considerations Help define clinical pathways therapeutic areas and product development priorities Work with internal leadership scientific advisors regulatory consultants and external partners Support medical due diligence for potential healthcare biotech or pharmaceutical investments Review clinical data research materials, medical documentation and business plans Provide guidance on FDA related strategy clinical trials patient safety and medical compliance when needed Represent the company in medical, scientific or strategic discussions with partners and stakeholders Requirements 15+ years of professional experience in medicine clinical development healthcare leadership biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree required Strong background in clinical strategy, medical affairs drug development healthcare operations or biotechnology Experience with clinical trials FDA processes regulatory strategy or medical product development preferred Strong understanding of patient safety, medical compliance and healthcare quality standards Ability to advise executive leadership on medical, clinical and strategic decisions Excellent communication analytical and leadership skills Experience working with startups, biotech companies, pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, or healthcare organizations is preferred Ability to work independently in a remote contract based executive advisory role Preferred Qualifications Board certification in a relevant medical specialty Prior experience as Chief Medical Officer VP of Medical Affairs Clinical Development Lead Medical Director or similar executive role Experience in chronic disease cardiovascular disease digital health AI healthcare biotech or pharmaceutical development Experience working with CROs, regulatory advisors clinical teams or external research partners Compensation Compensation will be based on experience availability project scope and level of involvement Estimated Compensation Range $200,000 – $350,000 per year equivalent for full time executive level involvement Contract, advisory or part time compensation may be structured on a daily monthly hourly or project based basis Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a senior medical executive with deep clinical knowledge strong business judgment and the ability to guide early-stage healthcare, pharmaceutical or biotechnology projects from concept to clinical and regulatory strategy
