Chief of Hematology and Oncology About the Company Respected community hospital Industry Hospital & Health Care Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief of Hematology and Oncology to oversee a comprehensive cancer center with a strong focus on patient-centered care. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of medical oncologists, hematologists, radiation oncologists, and surgeons, ensuring the delivery of high-quality oncologic and hematologic services. This leadership role also involves setting the strategic direction for the oncology and hematology service line, collaborating with hospital leadership to optimize resources, and maintaining clinical excellence. The Chief will have the opportunity to contribute to a robust clinical research program and will be expected to participate in medical education, including the training of residents and medical students. Applicants must have a Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution, a New York State Medical License, and Board Certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology. A minimum of 5 years of clinical and leadership experience in the field is required, along with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. The role demands a commitment to team-based, mission-driven patient care, and the ability to work in a diverse and inclusive environment. The Chief will be part of a stable and collaborative team, with the opportunity to engage in teaching and mentoring, and to actively contribute to clinical research in the advancement of cancer treatments and preventative care strategies.
