This is an unusual opportunity to join a disability-led research and innovation nonprofit at the ground floor while also benefiting from affordable housing and flexible paid work. For the right person, this role offers a front-row seat to building an organization at the intersection of disability, technology, healthcare, design, and cultural production. Role Overview This is a hybrid role combining: Operations Leadership Calendar and project management CRM and contact organization Grant and donor tracking Meeting follow-up Systems building and documentation Strategic planning support Personal Care Support Brief catheterization assistance (10–15 minutes, training provided) Positioning and wellness support Occasional shower assistance Research and Production Notion organization Presentation and deck development Outreach support Documentary and creative production assistance Why This Role Matters Care is not separate from the work—it is foundational to the work. Training is provided. About Me My name is Eden Welply, and I am the founder and Executive Director of EdenLab. I am a producer, screenwriter, nonprofit operator, and disability advocate living with a spinal cord injury after being struck by a car in 2020. I am paralyzed from the chest down and do not have hand function, but I live a highly active life centered around building systems, stories, and infrastructure that improve human outcomes.
