This pivotal role involves overseeing the administration, strategic planning, and management of the department to ensure excellence in clinical care, program development, and departmental growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading departmental operations, fostering multidisciplinary collaboration, and building relationships within the hospital and community. Additionally, the role includes developing and implementing growth strategies for orthopedic services, managing departmental staff, and participating in academic activities such as teaching, research, and faculty appointments. Applicants for the Chief of Orthopedics position at the company must have an MD or DO degree with board certification in Orthopedic Surgery, a valid New York State Medical License, DEA, and Medicaid numbers. Strong clinical expertise in general orthopedic procedures and specialty surgeries is essential, as is proven leadership or management experience, preferably in academic or public health settings. The role requires excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and the ability to provide comprehensive musculoskeletal care to patients of all ages. The Chief of Orthopedics will also be expected to contribute to the department's reputation through leadership, innovation, and community engagement.
