The COO will be a key leader in the organization, responsible for overseeing a large and diverse portfolio of programs with a strong focus on child nutrition, early childhood education, youth development, and family intervention services. This role demands a strategic and disciplined operator with a proven track record in multi-site operations, complex budget management, and a deep commitment to the mission and values of the organization. The successful candidate will be tasked with ensuring the financial performance, regulatory compliance, and quality of programs, while also driving innovation and continuous improvement. As a core member of the C-Suite, the COO will play a pivotal role in shaping the company's strategy, long-term planning, and major enterprise decisions. Applicants for the COO position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 10 years of progressive leadership experience, with a strong preference for those with a background in the YMCA or similar mission-driven organizations. The role requires a leader with exceptional relationship-building skills, the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholders, and a clear, confident communication style. The COO will be responsible for leading a team of senior program leaders and a workforce of over 1,500 team members, fostering a high-performing, mission-driven culture, and ensuring the organization's growth and community impact.
